Clase Azul Ultra represents the apex expression within the Clase Azul portfolio, drawing from the same Jalisco Highlands terroir that defines the broader range. Blue Weber agave grown at elevation in the region's iron-rich clay soils is harvested at full maturity — a process that for premium expressions can take eight years or more — yielding piñas with a depth of sugar concentration and structural complexity that shorter-cycle agave cannot replicate.

Production follows a meticulous extra añejo protocol. After slow-roasting in brick ovens and double distillation in copper pot stills, the spirit undergoes a minimum of five years of aging in a combination of American and European oak casks, including sherry-seasoned barrels from Jerez. This extended maturation, rare among tequilas, gradually integrates wood-derived tannins, dried fruit compounds, and oxidative notes into the agave base. The result is a spirit that occupies a space between tequila and aged brandy in its structural profile.

The palate presents with considerable depth — dark dried fruit, toasted oak, and a thread of raw agave that anchors the spirit to its origin despite the years in wood. The mouthfeel is viscous and measured, with tannin present but not dominant. The finish is long and slowly fading, moving from warm spice and dark chocolate toward a dry, mineral close that is characteristic of the Highland terroir.
