History
Berlucchi Franciacorta Extra Brut '61 was crafted with Chardonnay grapes at 90% and Pinot Nero at 10% coming from different towns in the Franciacorta area. Part of the cultivation is taken care of by the Berlucchi specialists, who ensure the optimal conditions for grape growth. There is a soft pressing of the grapes with the fractioning of the musts, which allows for the delicate extraction of flavors. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks, and the full maturation of the cuvee occurs in the following spring. After careful blending, it is bottled with the tirage liqueur, containing 24 grams per liter of sugars and selected yeasts. The aging on yeasts for 24 months is followed by an additional two months after disgorging to enhance complexity and refinement.
